Logistec is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Gibsonton, FL

Overview

We are now looking to fill several Heavy Equipment Operator positions at the Palmetto, Florida operation of LOGISTEC Gulf Coast.

Responsibilities

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to work at our busy port terminals. This is an opportunity for the right individuals with a GOOD WORK ETHIC to demonstrate their ability to OPERATE heavy equipment. Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends while working in all weather conditions.

Your new responsibilities:

  • Operate excavators, fork lifts and loaders to load, unload, level and distribute bulk product from bulk storage into trucks and hoppers.
  • Maintain product integrity by blending during loadout.
  • Grease, fuel, oil, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Clean up product and warehouse after daily activities.
  • Observe all safety rules and use good safety work habits.
Qualifications

You have the right qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in a busy industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard instructions, short correspondence, and memos; including, safety, instructional and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to present information in one-on-one group situations with fellow employees and customers.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations is a plus.
  • Outgoing, friendly personality.

$23-$25/hr. DOE plus benefits, PTO, 401K
